Dear ABC Certifees:

The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is pleased to have the support of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics in the national campaign for prosthetic coverage. Nine states have passed laws protecting access to prosthetic care. Thirty-one states are working to advance bills. And now Congress has introduced the federal Prosthetic Parity Act of 2008 (HR-5616).

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to push for congretional legislation. In order to raise awareness and build support, next week we will be coordinating a series of events across the country, including campus bake sales, house parties, in-district lobby meeting, call-in days, petition drives and postcard drives.
